Jonathan has over 15 years of public affairs, strategic planning and commercial development experience across both the public and private sectors.
In his most recent role, Jonathan was a Partner at a Middle East-based consulting firm. Prior to this, he was Global Head of External Affairs of an NYSE-listed FMCG company overseeing their government affairs and communications activities. He was previously also a Director for a Fortune 500 company where he was stationed in Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia. During this time, his portfolio spanned government relations, sales, portfolio strategy and management, and new product commercialisation.
Throughout his career in the private sector, Jonathan has a track record of successfully supporting business teams in achieving their regulatory and commercial objectives. These include favourable market access for highly regulated products, as well as brokering support and agreement across various stakeholder groups for specific government policies.
Jonathan started his career in Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs before being rotated to the Prime Minister’s Office, where he was an officer of the Administrative Service. During this time, Jonathan was in the Strategic Policy Office and the Centre for Strategic Futures, where he worked on strategic planning for issues of a cross-functional nature, as well as various foresight projects.
